Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Float Position is based in Johnson City, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care across medical-surgical units, supporting the organizations goal of delivering patient-centered care. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, while adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Nursing (RN) experience of six (6) months to three (3) years; management experience of zero (0) to three (3) years; five (5) or more years of direct experience; collaboration; communication (verbal & written); judgement/critical thinking; organizational understanding; planning (organizing, time management); problem solving; quality; reliability; safety and risk management.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
• Certifications & Licensure: Current NYS RN License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have experience with vents and vasoactive medications, sedative medications; ICU skills checklist required; Epic experience preferred; submittal packet must include RS cover page, skills, copies of valid licenses/certifications, with company logos removed; CPR certifications must be current; professional certification in nursing specialty preferred; relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC as required by the home unit.
