Description

Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients within a busy ICU environment. The position requires adaptability to staffing needs and flexibility to float to other units as needed, supporting a dynamic healthcare setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: California Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS, NIHSS certification, 3 years of experience in ICU; 4 years preferred.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC*
  • Skills: Arterial line management, assistance with chest tube insertion/removal, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Neuro Intensive Care Unit experience, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Management of dysrhythmias, Ventilator Management, Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD) unit experience, and other advanced critical care procedures.
  • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
  • Daily Census: 30 patients; 36 beds available in the unit.
  • Additional Information: No on-call requirement; weekend rotation may be scheduled; orientation hours total 24. Strict compliance and onboarding processes are required, including completion of labs within 3-5 days and 7-year work history verification.
