Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse for a position located in San Francisco, California. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric patients in a high-acuity setting. The nurse will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, adhering to protocols, and collaborating within an interdisciplinary team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: California RN License, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, 3 years of experience required in ICU, 4 years preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, trauma level I experience, trauma level II experience, travel experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course).
• Skills: Arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, external ventricular drain (EVD), FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, GI surgery, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/arctic sun, ICP monitoring, infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post-neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring, sheath removal, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), traumatic brain injury, valve repair/replacement, ventilator management, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD) management.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 24 hours of training. The unit supports adults and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 30 patients in a 36-bed facility. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
• Travel & Compliance: Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius. All licensure and certifications must be uploaded with current expiration dates. Two references obtained within the last year are required. No separation time is needed for return staff/travelers. All compliance documents are due 10 days prior to start date.
