Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Surgical Technician (Operating Room Technician) for a position located in Wheatland, Wyoming. This role involves preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures, passing instruments, ensuring sterile techniques, and assisting surgical staff during surgeries. The technician will support a fast-paced surgical team by anticipating needs, maintaining sterile environments, and participating in facility turnaround activities.

Job Details

• Position: Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician (OR Technologist)
• Location: Wheatland, Wyoming
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, current basic life support (BLS) certification, valid registration with State Regulatory Agency if applicable, minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical technology or operating room setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a certified school of surgical technology or two years of operating room experience; additional related education and/or experience preferred
• Additional Information: Responsible for selecting and placing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgeries, maintaining aseptic technique, assisting with OR turnover, and supporting safety procedures related to medication, specimens, sharps, and infection control. Will participate in emergency call rotation and be expected to perform duties in accordance with regulatory and professional standards. This position may support operational tasks such as stocking and cleaning.
