Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in Denver, Colorado. The role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties within the scope of practice as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating neonatal patient care, providing health education and counseling, executing delegated medical functions, and ensuring documentation complies with regulatory standards. The position requires the ability to float to other departments within scope and may involve being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: ASN - Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; BLS - American Heart Association; No minimum experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree of Nursing; Certification as appropriate for the neonatal unit or service is preferred
• Responsibilities include health assessment, nursing care, therapy and treatment planning, health teaching, health counseling, patient referral, documentation, and resource utilization
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments based on business need and to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
