Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Nurse - Cambridge, MA. This position involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit. The role requires flexibility to cover varied on-call responsibilities and holiday shifts, with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient safety and clinical excellence during procedures.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days shift from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, 4x10-hour shifts per week. On-call duties are every 5-6 evenings until 7:00 am the following day, and every 6th or 7th weekend. The candidate must be flexible and fluid with scheduling.
  • Required Qualifications: 2.0 years of experience in operating room nursing; current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license with NURSYS verification within the past week showing all licenses; current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; active Massachusetts RN license; valid drivers license with address matching demographics; up-to-date resume including travel experience; recent manager or supervisor references in the specialty; skills checklist matching the specialty; EPIC Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience; flu vaccine during flu season.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC EMR system.
  • Additional Information: Must be able to work every other major holiday. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at time of submission; it will not be guaranteed after confirmation.
