Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is available in Waco, Texas. This role involves providing critical care in a diverse ICU environment with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patient populations. The nurse will be expected to float between the ICU and step-down units, delivering specialized patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a registered nurse, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, at least three years of clinical experience in an ICU setting, ability to float between critical care service lines including ICU and step-down units in the organizations medical, surgical, and cardiovascular units, and the ability to respond to various patient needs across complex cases
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), experience with advanced ICU procedures such as vent management, IABP, Impella, CRRT, and familiarity with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
- Additional Information: Must be able to work from the start date of 07/20/2026 and comply with facility policies and SOPs related to critical care standards and safety protocols. Flexibility to float between units is required to meet organizational needs.
