Description

Job Summary:
The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is based in a healthcare organization in Great Falls, Montana. This role involves providing comprehensive post-operative and procedural recovery care to patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient transitions from anesthesia to recovery, performing assessments, monitoring vital signs, managing medication administration, and delivering patient education.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift with 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, applicable certifications (such as BLS and ACLS), and 1 year of clinical experience in post-anesthesia or acute care settings. Education requirements include a completed nursing degree from an accredited program.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in pre-operative and post-operative settings, proficiency with electronic health records, and strong communication skills.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The position involves direct patient care in a dynamic clinical environment, participation in on-call rotations, and adherence to safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical standards. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, professional communication, equipment proficiency, and patient education, including pre-procedural outreach and post-discharge follow-up.
