Job Summary
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Orange, California. This assignment involves providing specialized care in a high-risk obstetric unit within an acute care facility. The role requires experienced nurses capable of performing sterile vaginal exams, circulating for cesarean sections, and managing complex pregnancy cases. The position begins as soon as possible with night shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California licensure; minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ability to circulate and perform sterile vaginal exams; experience managing high-risk pregnancies; proficiency with external fetal monitoring and EFM; required skills include assist with high risk delivery, cervical cerclage, vaginal delivery, C-section, magnesium sulfate therapy, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in large hospital settings, high-risk obstetric units, and staffing with agency or travel experience.
• Additional Information: The candidate must be able to work scheduled shifts, meet all specified skill requirements, and comply with hospital policies. Uniform color code for RNs is Navy Blue. The assignment involves floating between facilities within the state as needed. The start date is scheduled for 07/28/2026, with a guaranteed call-off once per pay period. Candidates should be prepared to work three of the five core holidays and have a Fire Card within the last 30 days. References covering at least one year within the last three years are required, along with the response to prior employment questions.
