Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) nurse position is located in Herrin, Illinois. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care in a busy surgical environment, with a focus on heavy orthopedics, urology, spine procedures, and robotic surgeries. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital protocols and surgical team needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois Registered Nurse license; current CPR/BLS Card; ACLS certification; valid state's drivers license; previous experience in Operating Room nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with heavy orthopedic, urology, spine, and robotic surgical procedures; ability to float to other facilities if needed; flexibility to work call shifts, including weeknights and weekends.
• Additional Information: The role requires call coverage once a weeknight and twice on weekends per month, with potential for additional call based on department needs. The position involves providing preoperative and postoperative patient care, preparing for surgeries, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflict professionally.
