Description

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular nurse position available in Concord, North Carolina. This role involves providing critical care within a Level III trauma center with a designated Chest Pain Center of Excellence, Stroke Center of Excellence, and Bariatric Center of Excellence. The selected healthcare professional will deliver specialized patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for approximately 12-hour night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: North Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; a minimum of 2 years' critical care experience, including vasoactive medication management, invasive device handling (such as arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers), and experience with surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with invasive devices such as IABP and Impella; alertness to support within the regional scope of practice; prior critical care experience in a Level III trauma setting.
  • Float: Within region and scope of practice. Float rotation may be required; travelers will be compensated for travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 days of departmental onboarding. Travelers will have the opportunity to work alongside a 24/7 RT team and intensivist support. Facility technology includes EMR: Epic, IV Pumps: Alaris, Med Dispensing: Omnicell, Monitors: Phillips. Nursing scrubs are navy; parking is free. Candidates must have at least 2 years of critical care experience and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
