Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Long Term Care (LTC) located in Gainesville, Florida. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and supporting patient safety and discharge planning within a long-term care setting. The RN will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure personalized care plans and patient safety protocols are followed to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift Hours: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS Certification prior to first shift; ACLS Certification prior to first shift (CIRH only); Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience
- Preferred Qualifications: None listed
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission, collaborates with patients, families, and interprofessional team members to develop individualized care and discharge plans, documents assessments and responses accurately, and provides supervision to ancillary nursing personnel. Shares responsibility for patient safety, maintaining communication regarding patient status changes, and initiating education for patients and families. Participates in team-building activities and adheres to safety standards, including safe patient handling, infectious disease protocols, and slips/trips prevention. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities following orientation and actively pursues professional development opportunities.
