Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation located in Gallatin, Tennessee. This position involves providing care on an inpatient rehabilitation unit, with potential to float to acute care units as needed. The role requires adherence to facility protocols and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support the recovery of adult patients with various diagnoses.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in Tennessee, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 0+ years of experience, and willingness to float to other units if required
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in rehabilitation and medical-surgical units, strong communication, teamwork, flexibility, patient safety, and decision-making skills
• Additional Information: The position is at a 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status. Orientation is conducted weekly on Mondays. The unit caters to adult patients aged 21 to 90 years and utilizes Meditech electronic health records. Successful candidates must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry checks prior to start date. The role involves working with a patient ratio of approximately 6:1 and assisting patients with diagnoses such as stroke, neuro, cardiac, spinal cord injury, and brain injury. The position serves as a replacement for permanent staff.
