Job Summary
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves supporting surgical teams by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile techniques, and assisting in various surgical procedures. The role requires a dedicated professional capable of working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent patient care before and during surgery.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours shift time, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program; BLS certification by the American Heart Association; Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN License; 0 or more years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two or more years of experience; ability to proficiently scrub in three specialty areas including but not limited to Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Ribs, Robotics, etc.
• Additional Information: Performs a variety of technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. Maintains aseptic techniques, supports patient comfort and privacy, prepares the operating room, and positions patients appropriately. Responsible for handling biological specimens and maintaining sterile fields during surgical procedures. Works under the direction of professional nurses and assists surgeons by passing instruments, suturing, and setting up case carts. Familiar with facility policies on instrument decontamination and sterilization. Demonstrates strong teamwork and technical skills to ensure a safe and sterile environment. May be required to work on-call and support weekend shifts as needed.
