Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a clinical setting, demonstrating independence and awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. The role requires managing routine and complex cases, establishing long-term care plans, and coordinating with care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, full-time position with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), BLS certification from AHA required, RN License in the state of employment or in a compact state, 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the medical surgical nursing specialty.
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
  • Address increasing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.
  • Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness, and document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.
