Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB) at Greenfield, MA. This role involves providing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients within a facility handling approximately 400 deliveries annually. The position requires supporting patients before, during, and after childbirth, with duties extending to assisting with Cesarean sections and caring for newborns.
Job Details:
- Location: 164 HIGH ST, Greenfield, MA, 01301
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D), certifications including Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and membership or certification from the Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN). Basic fetal monitoring certification.
- Additional Information: The RN will support labor, delivery, postpartum, and antepartum patients. Experience with Cesarean sections performed on the floor with OS team scrubbing and circulating is preferred. The unit has 11 beds with expected ratios of 1:1 for labor patients and 2-3 mom/baby couplets per nurse. The role includes occasional on-call duties if census permits. The float to other units such as medical-surgical, emergency department, intensive care, and mental health is not required for this position. The candidate should be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced OB environment.
