Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Springfield, Illinois. This position involves providing specialized patient care within the IMCU setting, focusing on cardiac, neurological, and post-procedural patients. The role requires hands-on clinical expertise and the ability to manage complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, minimum of 2 years' experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, previous experience with MS/Telemetry, cardiac monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips and Vasoactive infusions, feeding tube care, renal failure, post-cardiac procedures, ventilation management, and associated clinical skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, Cerner charting system experience, teaching hospital experience, Level I Trauma experience.
• Float: Float to like units as needed within scope.
• Additional Information: This role involves managing patients with diagnoses such as chest pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, COPD, pneumonia, and stroke. Must be proficient in cardiac, neurological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, respiratory, and surgical care procedures including chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and post-op recovery. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and up to two major holidays. Orientation includes 24 hours of virtual training.
