Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical Floor located in Portland, Maine. The role involves providing patient-centered care to a diverse patient population, ensuring clinical excellence, and collaborating with healthcare team members. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, recent acute care experience, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience on medical-surgical units, strong communication skills, and teamwork-oriented mindset.
- Additional Information: The unit has a capacity of 46 beds with a variety of medical and surgical patients who are medically ready for discharge. Equipment utilized includes specialty beds, Philips monitors, overhead lifts, and various patient safety devices. The environment emphasizes patient-centered care, punctuality, and professional appearance. The position is a backfill to provide coverage for leave.
