Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients with a range of conditions, with a preference for candidates who have some oncology experience. The nurse will be responsible for administering non-vesicant chemotherapy following appropriate training and certification requirements. The shift is scheduled for nights, starting from July 27, 2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Location: Ypsilanti, Michigan
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Oncology experience preferred
- Completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or equivalent certification
- Additional certification such as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is beneficial
- One year of experience as a registered nurse or related healthcare experience preferred
- Flexible to work night shifts starting from 07/27/2026
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
- Certification in chemotherapy administration or related specialty
- Additional Information:
- Staff are required to complete unit-specific oncology courses and orientation before administering non-vesicant chemotherapy
- Patients actively receiving chemotherapy infusions are generally not assigned to this position unless the nurse has completed the prescribed oncology training or certification
