Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit care in Chandler, Arizona. The position involves providing high-quality patient care in a telemetry-focused environment, specifically managing patients with conditions such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and fluid overload. The role requires the ability to interpret EKGs and titrate various drips as necessary, with an emphasis on patient safety and clinical proficiency.

Job Details:

• Location: Chandler, AZ
• Shift Hours: Nights, 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with every other weekend and two major plus two minor holidays depending on contract dates
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of relevant clinical experience, with certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• Patient Care: Management of congestive heart failure, general telemetry, fluid overload, shortness of breath, arrhythmias, alcohol withdrawal, and related diagnoses
• Skills Required: EKG monitoring, interpretation of strips, titration of cardiac and set rate drips (e.g., heparin, Lasix, Bumex)
• Additional Requirements:
  • Must have at least 2 years of relevant clinical experience (no exceptions)
  • Must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facilities associated with the organization in the past year
  • Ability to read and interpret telemonitor strips (brand: Centralized Tele)
  • Floating to any telemetry floor may be required
  • Completion of a 2-day unit-specific orientation with on-the-floor training after orientation
  • Nasal cannula, Bipap / Cpap equipment for obstructive sleep apnea patients
  • PCTs available at a ratio of 1 per 15 patients
  • No "On Call" standby duty; only on-site responsibilities
