Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse specializing in general care is needed at a healthcare facility located in Richmond, Virginia. This position involves providing nursing care on a medical surgical telemetry unit, supporting a team dedicated to patient-centered care. The role is scheduled for night shifts, with additional responsibilities related to complex wound management, blood product administration, and pain control.

Job Details

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Virginia RN license, BLS certification, no minimum experience required
Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience, trauma experience, experience in complex wound care, BLS certification
Float: Float rotation may be required
Additional Information: The telemetry unit features bedside monitors, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse oximeter, scales, and wound vac. Staffing includes a team of RNs and techs working day and night shifts, with patient ratios of approximately 5-6:1.
