Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate emergency care within a fast-paced, 36-bed emergency department serving approximately 59,000 patients annually. The ER RN is responsible for rapid assessment, intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver timely and effective patient care.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma (or compact license). Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) preferred within a specified timeframe after hire. Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings preferred.
  • Additional Information: The ER RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage using evidence-based protocols, and provide rapid stabilization for patients with emergent and urgent conditions. Responsibilities include administering medications, operating medical equipment, documenting in the electronic medical record, and participating in emergency protocols such as rapid response and code blue situations. The role entails standing, walking, lifting, and physical tasks essential to high-acuity patient care in a trauma- and critical illness-exposed environment. Collaboration with healthcare teams and EMS providers is integral to the position.
