Completion of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course is preferred, particularly for administering vesicant chemotherapy. Staff should complete a unit-based oncology course and orientation prior to independent chemotherapy administration.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to work on a unit where chemotherapy administration is part of patient care, with specific protocols for non-vesicant chemotherapy and active chemotherapy infusions.
