Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare organization located in Frisco, Texas. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in the Labor and Delivery department, with responsibilities including managing patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum care. The shift is scheduled for days, with a focus on supporting efficient and compassionate patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years recent labor and delivery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Scrub capability and charge experience are highly desired.
• Unit Information: The unit has 13 beds, plus 2 triage beds and 2 operating rooms. Staff includes 34 team members, with day shift personnel including CNC, CST, and RN staff depending on census. The typical patient to nurse ratio is 1:2 or 1:1.
• Equipment and EMR: GE Electronic Fetal Monitors (EFMs) and Electronic Medical Record systems (CPN and Meditech).
• Typical Procedures: Inductions, cesarean sections, and trial of labor after cesarean (TOLAC).
• Personality Fit: Upbeat and positive demeanor preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves working four weekend shifts per schedule and one on-call shift. Holiday schedule to be discussed if applicable.
