Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department is seeking a registered nurse for a travel assignment in Chula Vista, California. The role involves providing patient-centered care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, ensuring safety and comfort for both mother and baby. The position requires collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality, holistic maternity care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: CA RN license, CPR, NRP, AWHONN Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certification or equivalent, at least three years recent RN experience in a nursing role, including two years recent RN experience in a specialty area such as Labor and Delivery
• Preferred Qualifications: EFM (Perinatal), additional certifications related to maternity nursing are a plus
• Additional Information: The RN will assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and serve as a patient advocate throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care coordination, documentation, patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration, delegation, and responding to clinical needs. Strong communication and cultural competence skills are required to meet diverse patient needs.
