Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Nurse position located in Palo Alto, California. This role involves providing comprehensive perioperative care to patients undergoing open heart procedures within a fast-paced surgical environment. The nurse will support surgical teams before, during, and after procedures, ensuring patient safety, adherence to clinical protocols, and optimal outcomes for cardiac surgery patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift hours, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: CA-Registered Nurse (RN) license, current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred, no minimum years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in operating room or open heart surgery nursing is highly desirable
- Additional Information: The role requires the ability to rapidly assess complex clinical situations, respond promptly to emergencies, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. The nurse should demonstrate strong communication skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
