Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse Palo Alto, CA. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in an operating room setting, focusing on open heart procedures. The nurse will be responsible for assessing patients, assisting in surgical procedures, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards throughout the perioperative process.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited college or university preferred. Valid CA-RN (Registered Nurse) license. Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Minimum 1 year of experience in Operating Room Open Heart nursing; additional experience in similar specialties is valued. The position is located in Palo Alto, California.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open heart surgeries and critical care settings.
- Additional Information: The role requires the ability to quickly adapt to high-pressure situations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge. Strong communication skills and the ability to teach and mentor others are also desired.
