Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing in Step Down Unit nursing will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. This role involves working night shifts on a 12-hour schedule, with a duration of 13 weeks, incorporating every other weekend. The position requires maintaining clinical excellence and adhering to hospital protocols to support patient recovery and safety.
Job Details:
- Position: Step Down Unit Nurse
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 08/03/2026
- Required Qualifications: Two (2) years of clinical experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Epic electronic health record experience, travel experience with at least one prior contract, location in Birmingham, Alabama.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior step down unit experience, familiarity with hospital protocols for patient monitoring and stabilization.
- Additional Information: This position involves working in a fast-paced hospital environment, providing continuous patient assessment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
