Job Summary:
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner position in Lewiston, Maine. This role involves providing inpatient mental health care on an adolescent behavioral unit, focusing on the treatment of conditions such as major depression and ADD/ADHD. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver direct patient care, administer medication, facilitate education groups, and monitor patient behavior.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in Nursing; valid State of Maine registered nurse (RN) license; BLS certification; 1-3 years previous nursing experience working with adults preferred; at least 1 year previous nursing experience required; CPI trained.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with children and adolescents on an inpatient mental health unit.
• Additional Information: Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered. Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within the 13-week contract. Candidates must reside outside of a 50 mile radius from the facility location. The RN will be responsible for medication administration, patient documentation, behavior management, and leading educational groups. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stress in a clinical environment.
