Job Summary:
The facility is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in their Medical/Surgical unit located in Mayfield, Kentucky. This role involves providing patient care across all age groups, addressing common diagnoses such as COPD, post-operative joints, and diabetic populations. The position offers an opportunity to work in a well-established, accredited hospital serving the community since 1993.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); Kentucky RN license or equivalent; at least 1 year of clinical experience in a medical/surgical setting; candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility location.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult patient populations and common diagnoses such as COPD, post-op joints, and diabetic care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units as needed.
• Scheduling: Weekly orientation on Mondays, with 36 guaranteed hours per week, covering every other weekend or as needed.
• Additional Information: The unit features 57 beds with patient ratios up to 1:6 with PCA assistance. EHR system used is MediTech. The position is a contractor replacement and requires adherence to hospital dress code scrub color is any, but branded attire from other facilities is not allowed.
