Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Nurse in Hastings, Nebraska. This position involves providing specialized care to patients requiring close monitoring and treatment but are not in critical condition. The role emphasizes managing adult patients with a variety of medical diagnoses and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.

Job Details:

• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The schedule includes every other weekend, with some flexibility based on unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications. Minimum two years of clinical experience in a step-down or comparable setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult and pediatric patients, proficiency in titrating medication drips such as Insulin, Heparin, and Cardizem, and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
• Additional Information: The position may require occasional float to medical-surgical units. Personal solid-color scrubs are to be worn, and natural hair color is expected. A two-day orientation plus one shift on the unit is provided prior to start. No call or standby duties are associated with this role.
