Job Summary:
A qualified Operating Room (OR) Nurse is sought for a facility in Garden City, Kansas. This position involves providing care in a busy surgical environment with a variety of cases, including robot-assisted and gastrointestinal procedures. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule and adherence to specific unit protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Garden City, Kansas, United States
• Position: Operating Room (OR) RN
• Schedule: Rotating shifts from 06/21/2026 to 08/03/2026; shifts typically run from 06:30 AM to 03:00 PM, Monday through Friday; evening and weekend call shifts required.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required; license submission required.
• Experience: No minimum experience required, but candidates with 2 years of OR experience are preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • First shift begins at 06:30 AM with an ending time of 03:00 PM.
  • Call response time is 30 minutes.
  • No floating outside of the OR unless an extreme need arises within Zone 4, which includes specific hospital areas.
  • Scrubbing required; participation in at least one OR tech and one anesthesia staff member for most cases.
  • Common procedures include robot-assisted/laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, appendectomies, basic orthopedics, gynecology, and podiatry.
  • EMR system used is Epic.
  • Unit-specific orientation is provided, including a check-off system to ensure staff comfort.
  • The hospital may cancel up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment, or three shifts if less than 13 weeks.
  • Dress code is Ceil Blue scrubs.
