Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurse Aurora, Colorado. This 13-week assignment involves providing specialized care in a pediatric oncology unit within a teaching healthcare facility. The role requires delivering compassionate, expert nursing care to children undergoing treatment for hematology and oncology conditions, including bone marrow transplants, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
Job Details:
- Location: Aurora, Colorado
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Duration: 13 weeks, starting on 08/04/2026 and ending on 11/07/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications including BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross), APHON Chemo/Bio Certification (required)
- Education and licensure as a Pediatric Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of Pediatric RN experience and 2 years in Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience
- Experience with ports and central line access and care
- Preferred Qualifications:
- CPHON Certification
- BMT Certification
- Scheduling Requirements:
- Every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
- Must work at least one of three winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
- No on-call required
- Float Requirements: Float rotation may be required across levels 6, 8, 9, 10, CPCU, NICU, North Campus, and South Campus.
Additional Information:
- No holiday RTO allowed and no RTO approved within the first two weeks of the assignment.
- Medical or religious flu exemption requests are allowed and must be submitted with the candidates application.
