Job Summary:
The ICU Cardiovascular (Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular) registered nurse (RN) position is based in Binghamton, New York. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including those requiring advanced interventions such as CRRT, IABP, Impella, and others. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care in a fast-paced environment while adhering to all regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Job Details:

• Location: Binghamton, NY
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend
• Required Qualifications: - Current New York State Registered Nurse License, BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross) - Six (6) months to three (3) years of RN experience, including experience with intensive cardiac patients (CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia; stroke patients thrombectomy/TNK; ICU overflow) - Skills in collaboration, communication (verbal & written), judgment/critical thinking, organization, planning, problem solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management - Graduate of an accredited Nursing school
• Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing - CCRN certification - Relevant skills in ACLS, PALS, TNCC as required by the assigned unit
• Additional Information: - Will perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. - Active participation in the Clinical Ladder Program as skills and expertise develop. - Provides a supportive learning environment for new staff and students. - Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
