Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in San Antonio, Texas. This role involves providing direct patient care on a unit that requires close monitoring of patients transitioning from intensive care to standard wards. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained throughout each shift.

Job Details:

  • Location: San Antonio, Texas
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse, relevant certification (such as BLS or ACLS), education or degree requirements as per state regulations, and 0 years of experience minimum.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) preferred.
  • Responsibilities include overseeing clinical care for assigned patients, supervising staff when delegated, and supporting facility leadership to ensure high-quality, safe nursing care.
  • Additional Information: The Registered Nurse will assume responsibility for clinical assessments, care planning, and ensuring compliance with facility policies. They will work collaboratively within the team to provide optimal patient outcomes, with potential supervision of staff and adherence to unit protocols.
