Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse - Houston, Texas. This position involves providing inpatient surgical care in a high-volume operating room setting. The role requires adaptability to both day and night shifts, with upcoming shift rotations including nights from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and related classroom training, emphasizing the importance of strong circulator skills and comfort with scrubbing procedures.
Job Details:
- Location: Houston, Texas
- Schedule: Nights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday weekly. The initial week involves a classroom setting from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, leading into night shift duties.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); 1+ years of inpatient operating room experience; preferred candidates will have Epic charting experience, at least 3 years of OR experience, and the ability to circulate and scrub as needed.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic electronic medical record experience is highly desirable.
- Additional Information: The position is scheduled to start on 07/26/2026, with shifts totaling 36 hours per week. Float rotation is not required for this assignment.
