Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Step Down Unit registered nurse in Galesburg, Illinois. Job Details:

• Position: Step Down Unit RN
• Location: Galesburg, Illinois
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application process has been initiated, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA, minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a similar setting, proficiency with EPIC charting system, and required documentation including last four digits of SSN and active IL license.
• Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, with a ratio of 1:5 on the assigned unit.
• Additional Information: The unit cares for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, COVID pneumonia, Afib with RVR, tachy/brady syndrome, and syncope. Orientation includes one hospital shift, two unit shifts (one day, one night). The department features a 26-bed capacity with nurse aides, charge nurses, and 24/7 pharmacy support. The unit works with patients requiring cardiac and respiratory monitoring, including Bipap and Cpap support, but no vents. Department operates with a hospitalist or intensivist in house from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
