Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within the specialized unit, supervising healthcare team members, and ensuring patient safety and well-being. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and contributing to patient recovery and discharge planning.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 12 hours per shift
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/27/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS Certification (required prior to first shift), ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift for CIRH only), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, and the ability to meet location and education requirements.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, documents all assessments and interventions accurately in the medical record, participates in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning, and provides supervision to ancillary staff. Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training. Assumes charge responsibility following orientation and actively pursues professional development.
