Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialty in Sarasota, Florida. This position involves providing specialized surgical support for open heart cases, including TAVRs, dissection, and chest/thoracic surgeries. The role requires flexibility to work in general OR areas if necessary, with a focus on supporting staffing needs for trauma and complex cardiac procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour days, approximately 40 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential or NBSTSA certification, BLS certification, at least 2 years of cardiovascular (CV) experience in a facility with 500 or more beds, and completion of at least 2 travel assignments in similar environments. Must have experience supporting open heart procedures, including TAVRs, dissection, and thoracic cases. Candidate must be flexible, willing to work all specialties, and able to fill staffing deficiencies as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work in a floating capacity across different OR areas, with experience in Trauma and complex cardiac cases.
• Additional Information: No local candidates; a 50-mile radius rule applies. No block scheduling will be accommodated. Orientation sessions occur every Monday. The role involves weekend, call, and holiday responsibilities. Float: Float rotation may be required.
