Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position in Morristown, New Jersey. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery department, supporting both pre- and post-natal patients through assessment, documentation, patient education, and safety practices. The position requires demonstrating clinical proficiency and professionalism to promote positive patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; valid RN license; ACLS and BLS certifications; 0 or more years of clinical experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
• Additional Information: Demonstrates assessment skills consistent with all stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric populations. Performs thorough, systematic assessments and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a collaborative team environment. Follows safety protocols aligned with national guidelines and promotes patient satisfaction through courteous communication and patient education. Supports pre-operative and post-operative patient education, including evaluating patient understanding of procedures and instructions. Supports timely completion of patient testing and reviews pre-admission testing orders based on surgical needs and patient health status.
