Job Summary:
The healthcare organization is seeking a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a shift located in Dallas, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in an ICU setting, with a focus on patient stabilization and monitoring through advanced ICU equipment. The role is suitable for candidates with a strong background in critical care, particularly in MICU or Medical Surgical ICU environments.
Job Details:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Position Type: Registered Nurse, ICU Medical (Intensive Care Unit Medical)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, Days
- Start Date: 08/10/2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, including weekend rotation as needed
- Certifications: Active RN license in Texas; CCRN preferred
- Required Qualifications: 2+ years MICU/MSICU experience, BLS and ACLS certification; Texas RN license or valid compact license; no minimum experience requirement other than the specified clinical experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system; advanced ICU skills such as bedside procedures including thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and central line placements
- Unit Specifics:
- Staffing based on acuity and skill set
- All ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitor
- Procedures performed include central line placements, bedside thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures
- Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs; clean and healthy nails without artificial enhancements; neat, clean hair pulled back if shoulder-length; body art should be covered; no visible piercings other than ears
