Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. This contract offers a 13-week service period, starting on August 24, 2026. The role involves working rotating 12-hour shifts in a critical access facility with a patient ratio of 1:2, providing essential care to diverse patient populations, including occasional pediatric surgical cases.

Job Details:

• Shift: Rotating, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Project Duration: 13 weeks, starting 08/24/2026
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), minimum 2+ years ICU experience; prior critical access or rural experience highly preferred; charting experience with EPIC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Associate Degree or Certificate
• Additional Information: Float to other Aspirus locations within a 40-mile radius, including Tomahawk, Howard Young, and Eagle River. Floating can and will be pre-scheduled if needed. During flu season, any traveler declining flu and COVID vaccinations is required to wear a mask at all times, in accordance with facility policy. The contract includes 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
