Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician in GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado. This role involves assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing medical instruments and equipment. The technician will operate sterilization equipment, disassemble carts, follow decontamination procedures, maintain records, and ensure timely delivery of sterilized items to the Operating Room. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and can include on-call and float responsibilities within the facility.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift; 8-hour evening shifts, Sunday through Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with additional on-call, holiday coverage, and multiple shifts that may vary. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; 0+ years of experience preferred; certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in hospital or clinic operating room is preferred.

• Additional Information: The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and may require working overtime, floating to other departments, or being placed on call during scheduled shifts.
