Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in California. This position involves working in an acute care hospital specializing in orthopedics, neuro, vascular, and trauma care. The role requires providing high-level patient care in a dynamic environment, with a focus on trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic cases. The assignment begins as soon as possible and includes night shifts and weekend coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Nursing License in hand; 3 years of experience in operating room nursing; trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience; BLS certification; open to first-time travelers; valid references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system; experience in acute care hospital settings; ability to float between hospital units and sister facilities; willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Additional Information: Night shifts are typically staffed with 2 RNs, with one acting as the scrub nurse. Night coverage may require working a single night shift during the contract. Travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Must submit RTO restrictions at time of application. References must be provided, and travel compliance requirements must be met.
