Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse position located in Alexandria, Louisiana. This role involves providing routine and complex nursing care in a basic medical-surgical unit, demonstrating independence, clinical competence, and the ability to manage patient care effectively. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills and contribute to patient well-being in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred), BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) required, RN license in the state of employment or a compact license, BasicMed certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Additional Information: This is a vacant position on a basic medical-surgical unit with the possibility of a temporary assignment. The role requires practicing independently, utilizing the nursing process, administering medications and treatments, and providing education to patients and their families.
