Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a facility located in Cortez, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. The position offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment focusing on maternal and neonatal health, with a chance to develop skills in nursery and recovery care through training.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate degree required, bachelors degree preferred; current registered nurse licensure within Colorado; compact license accepted with Colorado license obtained within the first 90 days; current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire; 0 years of experience required.
- Unit Specific Requirements: Successful completion of basic fetal monitoring course within 4 months of hire; NRP certification within 4 months of hire.
- Additional Information: The role involves patient care related to labor, delivery, postpartum, fetal monitoring, and neonatal care. The nurse must demonstrate clinical competence, knowledge of disease processes, and ability to interpret fetal monitoring and arrhythmia. The position requires flexibility with working hours and shifts to meet staffing needs and adherence to strict safety and infection control standards.
