Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) Nurse position available in Tuscalaoosa, Alabama. This clinical role involves providing high-level critical care to adult cardiac patients within an 8-bed high acuity unit. The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex monitoring and treatment, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and positive patient experience.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associate degree in nursing; active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a compact state; AHA (American Heart Association) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred, BLS (Basic Life Support), and IHOR (International Heart Organization Registered Nurse) certifications. Minimum 2 years of experience required, or 18 months of experience with the highest level of professional license and at least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty.
- Preferred Qualifications: PALS certification if working in pediatric units.
- Floats: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals as needed. The role includes working every other weekend, holidays as required, and accommodates 36 or 48 hours per week.
