Job Summary:
This Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nursing position is located in Des Moines, Iowa. The role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 22-bed general medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of 5:1. The position requires the nurse to be flexible with floating across multiple campuses and includes night shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights (12 hours)
• Schedule: Night shifts, 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Iowa or multistate licensed healthcare professional with at least 24 months of recent Medical Surgical (Med Surg) or Telemetry experience. EPIC electronic medical system experience and a de-escalation certificate (such as MAB, MOAB, CPI, or SAMA) are highly preferred and can be obtained during onboarding.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level I experience, de-escalation certification, and prior travel experience within the past 18 months.
• Additional Information:
  • The position is a LPN role.
  • Employee must have BLS certification from AHA or ARC/Red Cross.
  • Submission requirements include a current Iowa license, professional references from within the past 24 months, and a valid drivers license.
  • Orientation date is scheduled for 08/03/2026.
  • Call back and on-call pay multipliers apply, with specific policies for holidays and call back.
  • The facility's fixed notes specify acceptable local candidates within 50 miles and detail employment policies regarding past employees of the organization.
