Job Summary
Chicago, Illinois The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse provides care for patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures. This position involves pre-operative preparation, post-operative monitoring, and phase 1 PACU responsibilities. The role requires flexibility to float within the department to meet patient care needs and supports ongoing department operations.

Job Details

• Schedule: 10-hour Day shifts, with start times at 9 a.m. or 10 a.m., totaling a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Licensure, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), 3+ years PACU experience, current certification updates, a submittal packet including Illinois licensure, an updated resume, and one reference within the last year.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Not applicable.
• Additional Information: The role involves pre-operative, post-operative, and Phase 1 PACU care. Staff will be required to float within the department as needed. The selected candidate must be available to start between July 20, 2026, and August 10, 2026, with a scheduled work period from August 10 to August 14, and must be available during the entire period without request days off. Orientation includes 10 hours of new hire onboarding, scheduled on Mondays prior to the start date.
