Description
Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS) position is located in Hermiston, Oregon. This role involves providing direct, individualized nursing care to adult patients in a busy medical-surgical setting. The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The position requires quick response to changes in patient status and adherence to facility protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice; current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN); previous medical-surgical nursing experience; CRASE training (required if assignment extends beyond 6 months).
- Essential Job Functions: Perform a variety of nursing duties, make evaluations and decisions based on verifiable criteria, recognize patient confidentiality rights, and demonstrate empathy and teamwork. Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare staff, incorporate guest relations, and support the organizations mission and policies.
- Additional Information: The RN will be floated to various departments where qualified. Participation in required education for DNV programs is necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned, adhering to hospital policies and standards.
