Job Summary:
The role of Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse is based in Baltimore, Maryland. This position involves providing compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients on a dedicated medicine oncology unit. The assignment offers an opportunity to work within a specialized environment, delivering quality care over a 13-week period with a rotating shift schedule.
Job Details:
- Position: Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse
- Location: Baltimore, Maryland
- Schedule: Rotating shift with 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, proficiency with electronic medical record system (EPIC), and at least 2 years of nursing experience in a related setting
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous oncology nursing experience, familiarity with oncology unit protocols, and experience working in a hospital environment
- Additional Information: The unit specializes in caring for medicine oncology patients. Shift rotations may include weekends and holidays as needed. Candidates with prior employment within any Johns Hopkins health system facility must have completed a full year away from such employment before applying.
